Sarah Kitchener Perrow Fund Charity Ball in Billericay

Starts: Friday 23rd July, 2010 at 7.15pm
Ends: Saturday 24th July, 2010 at 1am
Location: Stock Brook Country Club, Billericay, Essex

We are delighted to announce the first annual SDBTT Sarah Kitchener Perrow Fund Charity Ball to be held at Stock Brook Country Club, near Billericay, Essex on Friday 23rd July 2010 at 7:15pm. This will be a black tie event priced at £40 per ticket which includes welcome drinks, a three-course meal and is followed by evening entertainment.

Four years ago, Sarah collapsed at work and was diagnosed with an inoperable and incurable brain tumour, news that shocked the whole family. However, Sarah maintained her positive outlook and began the challenge of living her life to the full whatever the prognosis. Her bravery and courage in the face of adversity were admired by all whom she met and she always maintained a smile on her face.

On Wednesday 3rd March 2010 Sarah finally lost her battle against the brain tumour that had affected her life so much, aged 27 years old. Now we as a family are intent on raising money in Sarah’s name for the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust. We join them in their intention to raise awareness and provide support and funds for brain tumour research to help fight this devastating disease and give hope to brain tumour patients in the future.

If you would life any further information or tickets for this event, please contact Peter Kitchener by email here or by calling 07920 052982.

Festival Message:

As well as being a well-known horticulturalist, Keith Dickinson was a huge fan of live music, and attended countless festivals and concerts throughout his life. So when he lost his battle with a brain tumour, his family and friends rallied round to organise a music festival on the land behind his house in Shore Road, Hesketh Bank, to raise money to support further research into the illness. Building on the success of the first event, we continue to help Marie Curie Cancer Care and Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust, and more importantly keep Keith’s memory alive.

A message from Keith’s daughter , Suzanne:

In July 2007 dad was diagnosed with a brain tumour. An operation to remove the tumour left Keith immobile. Further diagnosis post-treatment suggested the tumour had returned and on the 24th June 2008 he passed away. We know our case is not exclusive; we hope to raise plenty of money for these charities to say a BIG thank you to Marie Curie for all their loving support, care and attention and to help future brain tumour patients with the work from Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust.
