SDBTT Alfie Morland Fund

Construction is underway of an iconic footbridge in Hemel Hempstead, which is to be named after Alfie Jack Morland, who passed away  from a brain tumour in 2007, aged just 5½ months .

Alfie’s family have set up a hugely successful Umbrella Group in his name, and have so far raised over £60,000 for Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust.

Third Annual Terry Fox Run!

On Sunday 12th September between 3pm and 6pm, the Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire will play host to the third annual Terry Fox Run. The 5km run will loop around the beautiful grounds of the hotel, where runners will experience the spectacular setting of Dogmersfield Park.

To complement the run, the Four Seasons Hotel is treating everyone at this exciting event with a mini-spa area, dedicated kids corner and delicious BBQ prepared by Chef Pannier. With a raffle taking place offering the chance to win such prizes as a stay in the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Chicago and a night’s stay at the Four Seasons Hotel in Canary Wharf, this is an indulgent event not to miss out on.

With all the proceeds being split equally between the Terry Fox Foundation and Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust, this is a fantastic way to support cancer research.

You can register online here for the run now!

Is that cancer, Mum?” 11-year-old David Langton-Gilks asked his mother, Sacha, as he stared at the picture of his brain showing a massive tumour the size of the base of a wine glass at the back of his head. “Oh my God,” Sacha remembers thinking, “what am I supposed to say? How can you remove a tumour that size from my child’s brain without killing him or turning him into a vegetable? Do I have to answer him – can’t I leave it to the experts or his dad?”
