We are delighted to announce that we were launching a new patient support service in May following successful bids to BBC Children in Need and a number of trusts and foundations.
We are investing more money in patient support than ever before so we can reach out and help more patients, carers and relatives.
Our vision is to provide compassionate, accurate and informative support and our service provides a ‘one stop shop’ of everything patients, relatives and carers need to know about brain tumours.
This includes:
- Providing you with emotional support
- Giving you information on the different types of brain tumours
- Providing information on medical treatment and drug therapy
- Educating the public on the early warning signs of brain tumours
- Publishing the latest breakthroughs in research and clinical trials
Patient, carer and family support is at the core of what we do, particularly as many of the trustees and staff have been personally affected by brain tumours.
