Ian David Roberts died on 14th November 2010, age 41, four years after being diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour.
After surgery and treatment, he lived bravely with his tumour and enjoyed the remainder of his life to the full. Ian always maintained a positive attitude, and he kept his spirits up with his abiding motto of ‘it is what it is, you can’t change it, so let’s get on with it’ helped by the support of his wife and two small children, as well as his parents, siblings and close friends. He eventually died peacefully at home with those he loved around him. His two girls are growing up and showing many of his characteristics, which is a great source of comfort (and concern!) to everyone who misses him so much.
We have set up this fund in Ian’s memory in order to support the work of the Trust which is incredibly important. Being diagnosed with a brain tumour is both frightening and uncertain, and we hope to support the Trust in its efforts to raise awareness and pioneer research into a cure.
