Harry, aged 7, died on 10th December 2001. He had only been diagnosed 17 days before his death. He had been looking forward to visiting Father Christmas in Lapland but was too ill to travel. Harry’s parents, Tina and Dave have held a Ball in Harry’s memory over the last few years. The last Ball in September 2005 raised £10,000 which is a great boost to the research programme. Dave and Tina were overjoyed when Tina gave birth to Isobel in 2002, and a new baby daughter, Amelia Grace was born on 15th June 2004, sisters to Abigail. Congratulations to all the family!

Harry Jones Charity Ball
Firstly we would like to thank everyone for all their support in attending our last charity ball, it was a very successful night in raising £15,000 for much needed research into brain tumours for the Harry Jones Memorial Fund and the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust.
We are pleased to invite you to the next charity ball which has been arranged at the Croydon Hilton Hotel on Saturday 26th September 2009.
The format for the evening will be as follows:
6.30pm – 7.30pm – Arrival for pre-dinner drinks and photographer in attendance.7.30pm – 9.30pm – 3 course Table d’hote dinner with half bottle of wine per person.9.30pm – 1.00am – Live evening entertainment, Toasts, Raffle and Auction.
The price will be £60.00 per person. Tables will be in groups of 10.
For anyone wishing to take advantage of staying overnight, we have negotiated a special room rate of £75.00 for a twin or double and £65.00 for a single on bed and breakfast basis. Please make your reservation by sending a £30.00 per person deposit to Tina at the above address. Places are limited to 300 people and are on a first come first serve basis. All deposits are non-refundable.
