Kilimanjaro Summit Climb – Rongai Route

Wed 10 October – Sat 20 October 2012

Kilimanjaro climb

At 5,895m, Mt. Kilimanjaro is one of the largest volcanoes ever to break through the Earth’s crust.  Your challenge is to reach its summit.

Our groups have excellent success rates for trekkers reaching the summit, but don’t underestimate the challenge ahead.  Most trekkers will never have experienced a day as tough as this, with 1,000m of ascent and over 2,000m of descent.  It is however victory day!

The Great Wall of China was originally constructed to keep out nomadic tribes who raided China’s Northern Frontier.  The challenge starts in Jinshangling with a vigorous and challenging upwards climb which requires you to take thousands of steps.  Each day you will trek 12kms along the stony path and through the mountains; this challenge may be demanding, but it is also extremely rewarding.
