If you’re looking to run your first marathon or already have a few marathons under your belt and are hoping to improve your personal best, then the Berlin Marathon may be just the ticket, as it’s an extremely flat and fast course.
Starting and finishing near the Brandenburg Gate, one of Berlin’s most famous landmarks, the Berlin Marathon attracts more than 40,000 runners – who have been heading here to run the 26.2-mile course every year since 1974.
The course heads through the city, taking in some of Berlin’s notable landmarks such as the Reichstag and Berliner Dom – and with more than a million spectators out in force to cheer you along the way, in addition to live music blaring out at over 50 locations, you’re bound to be pushed on to achieve your own personal goal.
