Outline application stage

How to apply

Please note: this stage is now closed and further applications will not be accepted.

To apply please download the outline application form and read and complete with your Institution, in conjunction with the general instructions, those on the Outline Application Form itself, our Research Strategy for Project Grant Round 2012 and the Terms and Conditions of Award for Research Grants.

Please include applicant CVs and letters of support from any collaborators you mention within your application form, which is the only document that will be passed on to assessors. Please email your completed form as an MS Word document (ideally a .doc file) to research@sdbtt.co.uk by 12 midnight on Wednesday 7 March 2012. No paper copy is required.

Assessment of submissions

The assessment criteria that will be used by SDBTT’s Grant Review and Monitoring committee (GRAM) to assess outline applications are as follows:

  • Relevance to and potential impact for brain tumours
  • Scientific/clinical content, originality and methodology
  • Suitability of team and environment

Key timings and next steps

Please note that deadlines are final, and we can not accept applications received after these times.

  • Deadline for submission of outline applications – 12 midnight on Wednesday 7 March 2012
  • Decisions on outline applications – mid-June 2012

Applicants who are successful at the outline application stage will be invited to submit a full application.
