AMRC accreditation

Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust (SDBTT) is a member of the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC) – a membership organisation of the leading medical and health research charities in the UK.  We are the only brain tumour charity with this accreditation.

In 2011 a Certificate of Best Practice in Research Peer Review was awarded to Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust for the second time.

Peer review is a process used by many medical research charities to assess which research projects should receive funds. This  ensures that the work that is funded is of the highest quality and greatest importance.

This award, from the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC), is in recognition of the high standards of scrutiny with which the charity operates, and SDBTT is the only brain tumour charity with this award. It provides assurances to you, our donors and supporters, that your money is spent wisely on research.

We first achieved this accolade in 2009, and in the past 2 years we have continued to make improvements to our research programme, which have been recognised through this award.
