March is Brain Tumour Awareness Month – the perfect time to get together and enjoy pizza, all on us!
We would love you to come to this brainstrust Meet Up as we value you as part of the brain tumour community – no matter where you are on your journey or what role you have or might be playing – patient, carer, or health care professional.
As with all brainstrust Meet Ups there’s no agenda, other than to have a good time with people from our brain tumour community and to use the evening to have fun, share experiences and advice, and also seek information from people who know what you’re going through. But only if you want to. Feel free to just come along and enjoy the food and drink on offer.
Where? Pizza Express, 29 Wardour Street, Soho, W1D 6PS, London
When? March 27th at 7pm.
So please, let us know whether or not you can make it – simply visit www.meetup.com/brainstrust where you can register and RSVP to this event, or give Meg (at brainstrust) a call on 07825 543 284 and we’ll make sure you’re catered for.
Here’s what some people have said about our past meetups:

On Saturday 24th March at 7pm, a concert will be held in memory of Samantha Cashen, a 17 year old girl who tragically passed away to a brain tumour in August 2011.
Celebrating her short, but full life, the concert brings together her love of music and dance and will allow the audience a snapshot into all the things she loved.
The concert will include songs, dances and band covers that Sam enjoyed throughout her life. The show is a mixture of genres including ballads, dance and pop. Everything from The Sound of Music, Riverdance, Harry Potter, Adele and songs by Abba will be included, creating a hugely enjoyable and eclectic event.
Also included in the show will be parts of the stage show Annie and pieces of music that Sam danced to such as Lord of the Dance and the Harry Potter theme tune. Part of the concert will be dedicated to other lost friends such as her teachers, Mrs. Hennon and Jackie Griffiths who passed away in the same year. Most of those taking part are Sam’ s talented friends, who can bring a personal touch to the show.
The concert coincides with Brain Tumour Awareness Month in March.
One thing Sam was noted for was her smile and the way she brought a happy feeling to a room. That is something Sam’s dad Mike hopes to bring to this event. One of Sam’s favourite sayings was ‘Turn that frown, upside down!’ and this wonderful advice will be at the heart of the concert.
For more information or to book contact Turner Sims on info@turnersims.co.uk or visit www.turnersims.co.uk.
Tickets are priced at £10 and the event takes place at Turner Sims, Southampton.
